Who we are
Bitte is a British software company. We build the system a restaurant runs on — its own ordering site, its QR menu, its till, its kitchen screen and its bookings — and we put the restaurant's name on all of it, not ours.
Why we started
Independent restaurants had been handed a hard bargain. The apps that brought them orders took as much as a third of each one, kept the customer relationship, and left the kitchen with the costs and none of the data. Building the alternative alone meant paying separately for a website, a booking tool, a till and a menu system, then stitching them together by hand.
We thought a restaurant ought to be able to have the whole thing, and own it.
What Bitte is, plainly
Bitte is not a marketplace and not a delivery company. We do not employ couriers, we do not list your restaurant beside your competitors, and we never put our brand between you and your guests. Your customers order from your site, under your name, and the order lands in your kitchen.
What it costs
Six per cent of an online order, with a minimum of 40p. Card processing is included in that figure, so the rate you see is the rate you pay — there is no separate payment fee on top. Orders taken at the table or over the counter cost nothing at all. Payouts land weekly.
